Hello, my name is Ziggy

A little bit about me..

Ziggy is a 5 year old male cat looking for a new home after his owner very sadly passed away.

Ziggy is a very handsome cat who loves lots of fuss and attention. He can be quite wary when people first come to meet him, but if you spend just a few moments giving him a fuss you will soon have him all over you. He absolutely loves a chin tickle and head rub, and when he is completely relaxed with you he will be rolling about for tummy tickles too.

Ziggy is the sort of chap who might need a bit more time than most to get settled into a loving home, so please give him a bit of space whist he is adjusting.

Once he has gotten used to his new pad he would love to plod around a garden so this is going to be essential. Ziggy has lived with other cats in his previous home so may welcome a home with other cats, especially a girlie!

Requirements to adopt me

Annual costs of having a cat...

Can you afford a cat?

The cost of owning a cat would be in the region of £360 per year as a rough guide.

  • Can you afford £5 per week for cat food?
  • Can you afford £10 per month for pet insurance? Pet insurance in an essential part of being a pet owner and with a cats lifespan being 16 years upwards you need to be ready for the unexpected – what will you do if your pet develops an illness? Can you find the £150 plus to diagnose the problem? Modern veterinary care means that it is possible to treat serious injuries and illnesses successfully, but such treatment can be complex and very expensive. Vets bills continue to rise and pet insurance will give you the peace of mind that should something happen to your pet, bills will not a problem.
  • Can you afford the vet bills throughout your cat’s life?
  • Can you afford your cat’s annual vaccination booster of around £35 per year?
  • Can you afford to board your cat or arrange for friends or family to look after your cat while you are on holiday?
  • Can you afford regular preventative treatment against fleas and worms?
