NERVOUS CATS LOVE TOO!!!

Due to the type of work the RSPCA carries out, such as rescuing abandoned and stray animals, removing animals from what can be very unsuitable homes, and even rescuing abused or neglected animals. It does mean that a lot of the cats we have in our care have had very poor upbringing, where they have not only had competition for food but also very little love and attention.

These cats all need our help, yes they may take a little longer than most to settle into a new home, but with a little extra love and time they will blossom and grow into fantastic companions. The really good news is that these cats make fantastic companions to other cats. they love their company and will learn how to act and to do things from an existing cat. Including how to get you wrapped round their little paw!

When Custard Cream came into our care she was already 5 mths old, she came from a multi cat household, where we have dealt with over 50 cats so far. As with many cats from this sort of environment Custard Cream was very nervous and used to being handled. usually there are a couple of cats in these sorts of homes, the original cats, who are nice and friendly, then with every subsequent litter born, the cats get less and less handling from their owners and are more and more nervous.

This is Custard Creams story…..

SENIOR KITIZENS IN NEED OF EXTRA LOVING HOMES!!

Don”t overlook the older cats in our care!!!!!
Lots looking for love, luxury and pampering!

Please spare a thought for some of the older cats in our care, they are all very deserving and often get over looked as many people favour the younger ones.

We have many older cats in our care all are extremely lovely, many have out lived their owners and are now having to find new homes - never through any falt of their own.
Older cats are usually EXTREMELY affectionate and very loving, and are more likely to be lap cats than the young crazy ones that can”t keep still for 1 second.

JAR JAR NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!

Jar Jar came into our care in February 2010 with several other cats after being rescued from a very unsuitable home after a complaint was made regarding the cats welfare.
Jar Jar is the last of these cats to find a forever home, we can’t believe it has taken him so long to be picked, he is a lovely lad and is sure to steal the heart of anyone to takes the time to come and meet him.

FOSTER CARERS URGENTLY NEEDED!

As a small branch of the RSPCA we don”t have the luxury of owning a large rehoming centre and so rely heavily upon our fosterers to help with temorarily providing a home for the animals in our care.

Fostering is great for anyone who would love a pet but can”t afford to keep one or for those who can only commite to short periods at a time.
It is ideal for families or individuals who wish to experience to joys of caring for a pregnant cat or one with new born kittens. Or for those who just wish to help rescue animals in need in thier local area. (more…)
